Holy Rosary Church Bangkok, also known after its original name Wat Kalawa. It was built by descendants of Portuguese traders in 1786 on land donated by the king, Rama I.  This front entrance faces the river – the mighty Chao Phraya. Apparently, their earlier and larger church sited across the river began allowing FRENCH priests the right to use that site so a group of its followers decided they needed somewhere more exclusive…
